Cub Scouts Pack 107 is based in West Orange, NJ and is a member of the Northern New Jersey Council, Scouts BSA.
We are a proud Family Scouting Pack, and welcome all boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We primarily serve the Gregory, Hazel and St. Cloud neighborhoods, and typically meet on Thursday Nights at Gregory School during the school year, occasionally during the summer. Families can join at any time of the year.
Each age group forms a Den, which meets 2-3 times a month. Dens often meet at Gregory School, but sometimes meet at other times and places for hikes or other activities. Once a month, all of the Dens meet together as a Pack, often at one of the big events like the Family Campouts in the Fall and Spring, Pinewood Derby, Cubmobile Race, and Blue and Gold Banquet.
Cub Scouts is a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Our program is designed to be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs.
Scouting embraces the outdoors through camping, hiking and learning about nature. We also focus on helping our communities through service projects, STEM development and building confident kids through our wide range of activities. The Cub Scout program is designed to develop physical, mental and emotional fitness. Fitness includes the body (well-tuned and healthy), the mind (able to think and solve problems), and the emotions (self-control, courage, and self-respect).
The Cub Scout motto is "Do your best!" Throughout the program, Cub Scouts are given opportunites to learn, grow, and challenge themselves and their peers, and to see their own progress from meeting to meeting, month to month, and year to year.
Cub Scouts in 5th Grade are given the opportunity to bridge over to Scouts BSA with Troop 6 in West Orange, where they can continue their scouting adventure all the way to Eagle Scout and beyond.
